SARAH-JANE DRUMMEY (Filmmaker)
Sarah-Jane Drummey is an Irish filmmaker based in New York. She is currently completing post-production on her debut feature, La Vida Breve, a U.S.–Spain co-production between Calle Pez Studios and Simulacro Films, shot on location in Dublin and Madrid. Written, produced, directed, and edited by Drummey, the film stars Louise Lewis, Gracia Olayo, Ruth McCabe, Alejandro Tous, Nova Farrelly, and Jade Phoenix.
Her short film 134 screened at festivals worldwide, including BFI Flare, where it was selected for Five Films for Freedom, presented by the British Council in partnership with the British Film Institute.
Her feature screenplay Some Kind of Atlantis was one of ten projects selected for development funding through Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland’s inaugural New Writing Scheme. Following her debut short Good Fight, she was selected as a finalist for the AFI Directing Workshop for Women.
Prior to filmmaking, she worked for producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.
ELIAM KRAIEM (Writer/Producer)
Eliam Kraiem is a novelist and playwright. His play Sixteen Wounded opened on Broadway, starring two-time Tony winner Judd Hirsch and directed by Tony winner Garry Hynes. Developed at the Sundance Theatre Lab, the production received two Drama League nominations, a Drama Desk nomination, and three Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, including Outstanding Broadway Play, along with a Tony nomination for actor Omar Metwally. The play continues to be produced internationally, with productions in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Japan.
Kraiem is the author of three novels: Desert Trilogy, Bright Angel, and the forthcoming Juniper Is Missing. In 2025, he was an invited fellow at both New York’s Lark Theater Playwriting Workshop and the Hermitage Artist Retreat.
He is co-founder of Calle Pez Studios, where he produced the audiobook versions of Desert Trilogy and Bright Angel, narrated by Sarah-Jane Drummey, as well as her short films Róisín Dubh and 134. His current slate includes Drummey’s debut feature La Vida Breve and The VIP, a television project in development with Danman Productions.
